I have the honour to refer to my communication No.C.L.108, dated Cotobar 18th, 1923, in which the attention of your government was dram to certain resolutione adopted by the Assembly relative to the calling of two Conferences to consider the traffic in opius and other dangerous druge.
The Council decided provisionally that the first Conference should be called for the month of July 1924, and that the escond Conference should follow immediately afterwarde; and further instructed me to take all necessary action arising out of this resolution.
In pursuance of this decision, the Secretariat ie arrunging to prepare for the use of the Conference, #ummaries
of all available information on the following points;
Statistics concerning production,
Statistion concerning manufacture,

Statistics concerning consumption,
Statistica concerning Imports and Exporte,
Statistics concerning estimated requirements for medical and scientific purpose8.
I should be very grateful if I might be furnished with
any information in the possession of your Government on the above heads which has not already been communicated to the Secretariat; also if I might receive any suggestions which you may wish to put forward as regards the collection of other information which might be of value for the work of the Conference8.
